City: Rome, Italy

Large city of 2.65 million residents

Host Institution: The Umbra Institute's Pantheon Center - Semester/Academic Year and Summer program

Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age. Open to students with any level of Italian. Must have completed at least two semesters of study at a U.S. university, college, or community college. Students who have already graduated are not eligible for this program. MUST SUBMIT OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. Requires 6 passport photos. GPA MUST BE 2.75 OR HIGHER (firm).

Credits: Semester students earn 13-16 semester credits. Summer students earn up to 6 semester credits per summer session. Credits and final transcript are issued by Connecticut College.

Language: Open to students with any level of Italian language ability. Italian Language classes are taught in Italian. Electives are taught in English.

Academic Focus: Italian language, Art, International Business, History, Creative Writing, Art History, and Political Science.

Curriculum: Semester students take one Italian language course plus 3-4 elective courses, for a minimum of 13 credits and a maximum of 16. Summer students take 2 courses for a total of 6 semester credits.

Housing: Students live in a shared student apartment. Meals are not included, but each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen. (Requires a damage deposit of $200.)

What's Included: Academic credits, official transcript from Connecticut College, tuition, cell phone, housing, airport pick-up, medical insurance, ISIC card, pre-departure orientation guide, on-site orientation, and more.
