What's Included in the ASA Italy Programs?


FLORENCE
ROME

ALL ASA PROGRAMS IN FLORENCE INCLUDE...


ACADEMIC CREDITS: Students who receive pre-approval from their home institution can transfer the credits they earn in Florence to their home institution. It is possible to earn 12-17 credits per semester or 3-6 credits per summer program. Credits and final transcript are issued by Roger Williams University.

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT: Florence students will receive an official transcript from Roger Williams University, sent to your home university upon completion of the program.

HOUSING: Students live in shared student apartments. No meals are included, but every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen.
NOTE: Upon arrival in Florence, all students must submit a damage deposit in the amount of $200. This will be collected in the form of a credit card authorization form for $200. If there is anything missing or damaged in your living space at the end of the program, your credit card will be charged. If nothing is missing or damaged, your credit card will NOT be charged.

TUITION: Full tuition is included at the Institute at Palazzo Rucellai in Florence.

AIRPORT PICK-UP: Group ground transportation is provided from the Florence (FLR) airport for students who arrive on the official arrival date, by the designated time. For details on when you should arrive in order to make the airport pick-up, read our
FAQs.

MEDICAL INSURANCE: Medical insurance is provided for the official period of the program. There is no deductible.

INTERNET ACCESS: ASA students will have computer access, as well as wireless Internet availability in the Institute's academic buildings. Students are encouraged to bring their laptops in order to take advantage of this.

CELL PHONE: All students on the ASA Florence program receive a cell phone to use while they are in Italy (The cost of all phone calls is the responsibility of the student.)

DAY EXCURSION (semester programs only): Florence Fall and Spring students have the opportunity to participate in one day excursion during their semester.

ORIENTATION GUIDE: About a month before departure, you will receive our pre-departure orientation guide that tells you everything you need to know before you go. ASA also sends parents our Parent Guide to Study Abroad after the student has been accepted. Students will also be given a detailed on-site orientation, upon arrival in their host country.

ISIC CARD: Students will receive an International Student ID Card along with their orientation guide. This card gives students discounts on travel, shopping, museums, and much more.

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT: Rome students will receive an official transcript from Connecticut College, sent to your home university upon completion of the program.
