The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) offers classes for foreign students at the School of Modern Languages. Located in the Eixample section of central Barcelona, it is close to the famous Sagrada Familia cathedral and part of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau modernist complex, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997.

The UAB is a public university that has grown quickly in both size and stature since being founded in 1968. Over 40,000 Spanish students now matriculate at the University, in addition to a large number of international students who attend through one of many student exchange programs located all over the world.

The main university campus is located about 30 minutes from central Barcelona, but all ASA students take their classes at the School of Modern Languages located in central Barcelona. While ASA students take classes in the city center, they may enjoy all the amenities of the main campus, which includes restaurants, a swimming pool, and the sports center (SAF).
