Bilbao is the largest city in the northern Basque Country of Spain. It has a very stable economy because of the vast amount of industry in the region. Bilbao is located on the river Nervión, and it's suburbs stretch all the way to the Bay of Biscay. Recently, the city has undergone many improvements and renovations to make it a more welcomed place for tourism. These improvements include a metro system, and also the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum.
