We are thrilled that you have decided to apply to ASA and we have tried to make the application process as easy as possible. Just go through the list below and check off each step as you have completed it.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail us! Our toll-free phone number is (888) 845-4ASA. You can also e-mail us at info@academicstudies.com. We'll be glad to answer all of your questions!

STEP 1.
Meet the minimum requirements.
You must be at least 17 years of age for the Florence and Salamanca I programs, and 18 years of age for all other programs. You must also have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.  Applicants with a GPA of below 2.5 must submit 2 letters of recommendation instead of one and a letter explaining why the GPA is below 2.5.

**PLEASE NOTE:  If you are applying to the Barcelona II or IIA program at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, you must have a GPA of at least 3.0, must submit an OFFICIAL copy of your college transcript, must be at least a junior in college, and must have the credits approved by your home university.  Proof of the credit approval can be submitted in the form of a letter or by having the Academic Credit portion of the application signed by your academic advisor, study abroad advisor, etc.

STEP 2.
Complete the application.
1. Read all of the application carefully and fill it out.
(Don't forget to get your study abroad advisor or academic advisor to sign off on the credits!  If you are not interested in receiving credit for your work abroad, then sign the section indicating this.)

2. Send in one copy of your college transcript. You may send an unofficial copy, unless you are applying for the Barcelona II or IIA programs at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, or the Florence, Dublin, Aix, or Avignon programs. These programs require an official copy of your transcript.

3. Send in your letter of recommendation (if your GPA is below a 3.0).
(You may use the form that comes with your application, download a copy of the form below, or obtain a letter.)

4. Submit the application deposit of $150. Click here for deposit policy
(Please make checks payable to: Academic Studies Abroad.)

5. Four passport-sized photos (1 1/2" x 1 1/2")
8 passport size photos are required for Madrid, Aix, and Avignon.

6. Photocopy of the inside page of your passport

Double-check your application package to make sure it's complete!
