Nice (p.933,080) is a popular tourist destination on the southern coast of France. It is located between Marseilles and Genoa. It was founded in the 5th century BC, although there are artifacts which show that settlements have been in the area for 400,000 years. Some of the artifacts that show the earliest usage of fire and houses were found in Nice. Recently, Nice has had a steady stream of immigrants from north and western Africa as well as southeast Asia, which has helped to enrich the culture of Nice.
