Eligibility: This program is open to all levels. Students must have graduated from high school and be at least 17 years of 18. (If 17, you must turn 18 during the program.) Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Total contact hours: 90-135 per summer session. 15 contact hours = 1 semester credit. 10 contact hours = 1 quarter unit. Possible U.S. Credits: 6-9 semester credits per summer session.

The final transcript for this program is issued by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

Maximum of 20 students per class for the Spanish Language classes.
Maximum of 15 students per class for the electives.

Students who enroll in the UAB Summer program have 3 options:

1) Take 6 credits of Spanish Language and one 3-credit elective course taught in English, for a total of 9 credits. Or, you may take just 6 credits of Spanish Language and no elective for a total of 6 credits.
2) Take 3 credits of Spanish Language and one or two 3-credit elective courses taught in English, for a total of 6-9 credits.
3) Take two or three 3-credit elective courses taught in English, for a total of 6-9 credits.

Spanish Language, Low Intermediate Level - taught in Spanish
Spanish Language, Intermediate Level - taught in Spanish
