Sitges is a small town south west of Barcelona. It is known for it's popular beaches, nightclubs and historical sites. The town is very much driven by the arts, and gained popularity in the 1960s as it became one of the only spots with a visible counterculture on the mainland of Spain. Sitges is renowned for it's International Film Festival and Carnival.
