Stonehenge is a mysterious and controversial structure, which consists of several enormous stones. It is located about 8 miles northwest of Salisbury. Archaeologists think that the structure has astrological significance, because during the winter and summer equinox, the sun shines directly into the centre of the monument between the horseshoe arrangement of stones. Stonehenge is a World Heritage Site, and is one of the most well known natural wonders in the world.
