Valencia is a port city on the Mediterranean. It has a very pleasant climate, with warm dry summers and mild winters. Valencia is home to many museums, such as Museo De Bellas Artes, Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, and even a rice museum. The Turia river, which used to flow through Valencia was diverted in the 1950s, and now the old river bed is home to gardens, a playground, a fountain and sports fields. Valencia has a strong economy and it's ports handle 20% of Spain's exports, including Valencia's famed oranges.
