If your college or university requires you to receive a transcript from an accredited U.S. institution, you are able to receive one on our London program from Webster University (St. Louis, Missouri).
HOW TO APPLY
First, please keep in mind that it takes a bit longer to process the application for a student seeking a Webster transcript. Therefore, ASA encourages all students wanting a Webster transcript to apply in advance of the posted ASA application deadline. For example, if you need a Webster transcript and are going abroad for a Fall program, you should apply no later than April 1 in order to allow time to process your Webster University application.
Likewise, students going abroad in the Spring should apply no later than September 1. Summer students should apply no later than February 1.
Students who want a Webster transcript MUST:
1. Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
2. Have completed at least 1 semester of study at an accredited U.S. college, university, or community college.
3. Submit their OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT with their application package. We cannot accept unofficial trancripts for Webster applicants.
4. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, no exceptions.
In addition to the above requirements, students seeking a Webster transcript should follow the regular ASA application procedures as described at http://www.academicstudies.com/apply.html.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Keep in mind that the Webster transcript is not included with the ASA program, so ASA must pay Webster University an additional fee for the transcript processing on your behalf. There is an additional fee on top of the published ASA fee. If you require a U.S. transcript, please add the following amounts to the ASA published cost:
Webster Transcript Fees for the 2008-2009 Academic Year (applies to Summer 2008, Fall 2008 & Spring 2009 sessions):
Summer program (3 credits): $350.00
Summer program (6 credits): $700.00
Semester program: $1,200.00
Academic year program: $2,400.00
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COURSE PRE-REGISTRATION
Please note that even students attending the program as a Webster student may end up having both a Webster and a Regent's transcript issued in the end because some classes offered at Regent's are Webster classes and some are simply Regent's classes. Webster can only list their own classes on their transcript. For example, if a student takes 3 Webster classes and 1 Regent's class, then the Webster transcript will only show the 3 Webster classes, and a Regent's transcript will be issued for the fourth class.
If you would like to avoid this situation, make sure that you pre-register only for Webster courses. You can usually tell which courses are Webster because Webster courses generally have 4-digit course codes.
WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED?
ASA cannot make admissions decisions for those applying as a Webster student. Therefore, the admissions decision will take anywhere from 2-4 weeks because Webster will have to review your application. If you are accepted, then Webster will issue the official acceptance letters to you.
