 Total contact hours: Students spend 2-4 hours in class per week for each course.

 Possible U.S. Credits:  Students take 4-5 courses per semester worth 3-4 semester credits each.

Final transcript is issued by Université Paris-Sorbonne.  Classes are taken with other American and foreign students.


Cours de Langue et Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne: French Language and Civilization Courses at the Sorbonne (Course Offerings)

Students will take a placement test upon arrival to determine language level. All students are required to take a French Language & Phonetics course, as well as 2, 3, or 4 elective lectures from the choices at that language level. Examples of elective lectures are:

French Civilization & Literature
History of French Art
Approach to Current Affairs in France
The Regions of France
Myths & Modern Thought

The Cours de Langue et Civilisation Française is also available in the Fall semester to students who are attending the full academic year in Paris.
