Griffith College Dublin – Fall 2018 Course Offerings

At Griffith College Dublin, classes or courses are called “modules.” An undergraduate degree program is called a “course.” GCD offers courses in several areas, and each course has a set curriculum of modules.

The curriculum is divided into 3 or 4 Years (sometimes called Levels).

  • Year 1 = freshman year. Year 1 modules generally have no pre-requisites. Roughly equivalent to 100-level.
  • Year 2 = sophomore year. May require pre-requisites from Year 1. Roughly equivalent to 200-level.
  • Years 3/4 = junior/senior year. Students must have the necessary pre-requisites for this level. Years 3/4 are roughly equivalent to 300 and 400-level.

Students are expected to take 4-5 modules per semester. All module offerings are subject to change. The number of credits each module is worth is listed below, next to the module title.

All students MUST get a total of 8 modules approved by their academic advisor, in case of changes in module availability. That way, if a module is full or cancelled, or if 2 of the modules you want to take meet at the same time, you’ll already have back-ups that you know your school will accept. When you pre-register for modules (this happens after you’re accepted), you will have to list a total of 8 possible modules on your registration form, in order of preference. Griffith College will not process your registration unless you list a total of 8 modules.

COURSE OFFERINGS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.  Below you will find the modules offered by Griffith College in Fall 2017. Students planning for Fall 2018 can use these as a reference, as the course offerings typically don’t change too much from year to year. This page will be updated with the confirmed Fall 2018 offerings as soon as we receive them from Griffith College.
