+ OXFORD, ENGLAND

When is payment due?

  • For all ASA programs, full payment or verification of financial aid is due by the Payment Deadline listed on the Oxford program page.
  • After you’re accepted, you’ll receive a Billing Statement from ASA, which will show your balance due and payment due date(s).
  • If you plan to pay for the program using financial aid (thereby deferring payment until your financial aid is disbursed), ASA must receive ASA’s Financial Aid Verification Form (FAV), completed by your home institution’s Financial Aid Office. This will tell us how much financial aid you are going to receive.
  • Any portion of the program fees not covered by financial aid must be paid to ASA by the Payment Deadline.
  • If verification of financial aid cannot be provided by the Payment Deadline, we require a non-refundable $1,000 down payment in order to secure your space.
  • It will take your school’s Financial Aid Office at least 2 weeks to complete the FAV form, so be sure to contact them several weeks in advance of the Payment Deadline. For full details on how to use your financial aid to study abroad and what steps you need to take, please visit our Financial Aid page.

Down Payment

  • If you require a Tier 4 student visa in order to study in the UK, a non-refundable down payment of $5,000 will be required. Once paid, this will be deducted from your balance due. A Tier 4 student visa is required if you wish to study in the UK for an academic year. (It is not required for U.S. citizens wishing to study in the UK for one semester.) However, a Tier 4 student visa may be required for citizens of other countries who wish to study abroad in the UK for one semester. Please note, Down Payments cannot be deferred with financial aid.

What are ASA’s payment options?

  • We accept the following payment methods: Personal check, cashier’s check or money order, made payable to Academic Studies Abroad and mailed to the address below. You can also pay your balance by e-check.

Academic Year Students – Please Note

  • The Oxford Brookes University on-campus accommodation lease for an academic year includes housing during winter break, whereas an individual fall lease or spring lease does not. The benefit to this is you get to stay in the same dorm room the whole year, including during winter break, if you choose to do so. But because our program fees for a semester do not include this additional month of housing, and it is not possible to opt out of winter break housing when booking housing for the academic year, a surcharge of $800 will be added to the fall program fees of students attending an academic year.
