How to Travel Internationally from Barcelona

It’s worth noting here that Barcelona has impeccable public transportation within its city. So, it will not be difficult for you to get to the local airport, Barcelona El Prat (BCN). The most highly recommended ways to get to the airport are the Aerobús, which you can pick up on a consistent basis all day long in multiple locations around Barcelona and pay a fare of just under 6 Euro. You could also take the metro line that brings you right to BCN Terminal 1 or Terminal 2! Lastly, taxis in Barcelona have cheaper rates than in many other European destinations (thankfully), so you could also take one of those. However, the Aerobús or metro will remain your most cost-effective options.
Before you board any of these airport transport services, make sure to check your boarding pass so you know which terminal you are flying out of, and get off the transport at the correct stop. If you do happen to hop off at the wrong terminal, there is a shuttle bus that runs between the two.
Typically, major airline carriers fly out of Terminal 1 and budget and regional airlines fly out of Terminal 2. Many budget airlines have cheap flights into and out of Barcelona because it is such a popular destination. Vueling Airlines is a Spanish-based, low-cost airline, and Barcelona El Prat airport is one of their hubs, so definitely be on the lookout for flight deals with their airline.
