Did you absolutely LOVE your experience studying abroad with ASA? Were you dreading having to leave the constant changes of the environment, different people you encountered, and never-ending adventures? Do you scroll through your Instagram feed reminiscing about the “good ole days”?

Well.. good news! Your study abroad experience doesn’t have to stop just because you aren’t enrolled in a college/university across the ocean anymore! You can spread the word to prospective students, share pictures, tell stories, and provide tips to peers who actually want to hear your stories! (You can finally stop annoying your friends by starting every story with “that one time in Florence…” only to have them instantly shut you down.)

Serve as an ambassador for ASA and inspire others to take the leap of faith and study abroad! Be a Jetsetter at your college/university.

Definition of Jetsetter: a person who travels frequently

Once you finish a semester, summer, or January term abroad with ASA you will be fully qualified to hold the role of an experienced traveler, otherwise known as a Jetsetter. Who else knows the challenges and triumphs of studying abroad better than someone who just did it, right?! Who would be more honest and straightforward about the great times and the…not so great times? Students want to hear the truth about studying abroad, so join our team and tell it like it is!

ASA Jetsetters are our network of selected alumni who studied abroad with ASA and are passionate about promoting the ASA study abroad experience to other students.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Help out at study abroad events on campus (fairs, info sessions, etc.)

  • Put ASA flyers & advertisements up around campus

  • Speak with prospective students

  • Do an ASA Instagram takeover for #FlashbackFriday

Benefits of being an ASA Jetsetter:

  • You get to talk about study abroad to people who are interested & won’t make fun of you for talking about it nonstop

  • Strengthen your communication, collaborative, and leadership skills

  • Build your resume

  • Become more involved on your campus

  • Be the first to know about job opportunities with ASA

It is important to note that you will not be going into this title with no preparation or guidance. An ASA staff member will provide you with all of the necessary items including a check-list, tool-kit, t-shirt, and more! They will also check in with you a few times a semester to make sure you are staying on track or if you need any help rallying students around to the idea of studying abroad (I know… you would think everyone would by jumping over the moon at the chance to live and study somewhere else but some students are harder to persuade then others).

So, what are you waiting for? Let us know if you are interested in applying to be a Jetsetter!
